A Place Called Ulas

Have you heard of a place in Davao City called Ulas? If you are from Davao or have been here frequently, the answer would be a resounding “Yes.” For those who do not, here are some short descriptions:
- All vehicles from the south (Gensan, Bansalan, Kidapawan, Digos) going to Davao City center passes through this place.
- All vehicles from Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon, Calinan or Mintal pass along this place when going to Davao.
- It has one of the busiest intersections in Davao. Drivers and commuters should always be careful and heed the grade-school mantra: Stop, Look and Listen.
- It’s not really a fancy place that everyone is dying to see.

hi, im going to Ulas Davao for a very urgent situation.
never been to Davao and i barely have information on the place. Is Ulas a very large town? i pretty much know how to get there, from davao airport… but if you are from Ulas or familiar with the place, you can probably help me with some information… like cheap hotels i can stay… i dont know where in Ulas i would go, thats why i want to know if it’s a large town..
Hello, Ulas is not a town. It is just part of the Talomo district of Davao city which is 1st congressional district. I am not sure if it is a name of a barangay or just a name of that particular place. It’s a name pertaining to the intersection also of McArthur Highway and Davao-Bukidnon road. But take note Ulas is part of Davao City. You can stay on some hotels along McArthur highway.
