Taklobo Davao

The first blog entry for the year 2007 has to do with Davao’s ancient past.

Would you believe that Davao was once covered with bodies of water? Well, at least that’s what this photo  is trying to covey. Located at the hilltops of Jack’s Ridge Restaurant in Shrine Hill Matina, these taklobo shells tell us something about Davao historal past. The engraves text says:

Unbelievable as it may seem, the land you are standing on was under
the sea millions of years ago. These taklobo shells right here at Jack’s Ridge
are silent witness to Davao’s watery past.

True or not? You’d be the judge.
